How much do Hair Extensions cost and other common questions
"How much does Glo charge for hair extensions?"
By far, this is the #1 question that we get and it's not a question we can answer by phone or email. The pricing for Glo's Hair Extensions will depend on the level of service required, which is determined by the type and length of the hair extensions, the amount of hair needed and the condition of your natural hair. The prices can vary from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. By coming in for a free consultation, we can determine your hair texture, understand your desired length, budget, the type of extensions that can be applied and your lifestyle.

"How do I care for my Hair Extension once I leave the salon?"
Do NOT wash your hair for 48 hours after application. Give your extensions time to set.
Shampoo and Conditioning. Always stand the head up straight. Gently wet the hair with lukewarm water and apply the shampoo.
Bring the shampoo to a lather but do not rub the extensions. Fingers should gently run through the extensions top through bottom.
Rinse well and apply conditioner. Let the conditioner penetrate the extensions by allowing it to remain in the hair at least 5 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water from hair and pat dry with towel. Do not rub or twist the hair.
Combing & Drying. Use a product to detangle the hair before combing out your hair. You can allow your hair to air dry or blow dry hair extensions as normal. Use the extension brush on the top portion of your hair/Scalp area and you can use regular brushes on the bottom. It's best to brush your hair multiple times a day.
Sleeping. Before going to bed, your hair and extensions MUST be dry to prevent tangling!! When your hair is wet, the cuticles are open which can cause your extensions to tangle with your own hair while you sleep.Always wear your hair in a low ponytail or loose braid before bed.
More Questions About Hair Extensions
If you don't do your research first, your hair can pay from it. Try to get consultations from multiple stylists, and see which one you are most comfortable with. Make sure they are 'Certified'. Ask to see a Certification, ask to see hair extensions before and after pictures, and ask if you can get references. If you go to an inexperienced stylist, they can apply hair extensions the wrong way and ruin your hair!! Damage also happens when clients think they can remove their own hair extensions, have a friend remove them or a stylist who is not 'Certified' in Hair Extensions.
Since we use 100% Human Hair Extensions, the extensions are maintained almost like your own hair. You must use the hair products, and extension brush, referred by your extension stylist only. You CAN use curling irons and flat irons on your hair like normal, not to put heat on the bonds. You will need to get regular trims, as the hair does get split ends. You MUST wear your hair in a low ponytail, and completely dry when you go to bed. I will send you home with a care sheet, to maintain your hair extensions to get long-lasting, healthy wear out of them!
DO NOT try to remove them at home, because you could cause damage to your natural hair. Make an appointment with a professional to have them removed.
